Educate A Girl
In the slums of Calcutta, where young girls rarely are sent to school and are often forced into child marriages, child labour or sex trafficking, Her Future Coalition ensures girls break this cycle through quality education.
Impact: $1.50 provides a high quality education for a girl in a Calcutta slum.
Restore The Reef
As the world's largest living organism, The Great Barrier Reef is one of the most bio-diverse places on earth. The Reef also supports the culture and livelihoods of 70 Traditional Owner groups who have been custodians for over 60,000 years. Currently under threat due to climate change, the reef has lost 50% of it's coral. Greening Australia and Traditional Owners are working to restore wetlands and eroded landed by 2030 and prevent 400,000 tonnes of sediment from polluting of The Reef each year.
Impact: $50 prevents 1 tonne of sediment from reaching the Great Barrier Reef.
Empower Survivors
More than 40 million people are enslaved across the world, one in four of those are children and 71% of those are women. Hagar works across Asia, supporting women and children to rebuild their lives. The organisation ensures survivors are provided with special trauma counselling, a safe place to live, legal advice and medical care.
Impact: $3 pays for a day of food for a survivor of human trafficking and slavery.
